Corporate Golf Days in Northampton - With a Difference

Company Golf Days are an established form of Corporate entertainment.  Typically a company invites some customers and clients for a day out at a nice golf course with a meal afterwards. This is fine and serves a purpose. Often to network, to say thankyou for the years business and to create a bit of goodwill in the business relationship going forward.

Collingtree Park Golf Club is a fantastic venue for such an event, with years of experience in organising Company and Society golf.  The Johnny Miller designed Championship course is a great test of golf in beautiful surroundings.  If you would like more information about holding a Corporate or Society day at Collingtree please contact Carole Mcfarland on 01604 700000 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. In some cases however, a big set piece golf day may not be the best way to network with clients or potential clients.  With so many suppliers or customers present it is easy for some of them to get 'lost' in the throng, and opportunities to move that particular business relationship forward are missed.

Golf Days can be expensive, especially if done well.  And they need to be done well.  Key decision makers get invited to a lot of them, which makes it important that your day stands out in the crowd. They also involve a huge amount of planning and organisation to get everyone there on the day and to keep them 'looked after'.

Another issue, especially in the present economic climate, is that many companies are reluctant to be seen to be spending money on high profile corporate entertaniment events such as a big golf day, especially when there may be cutbacks in other areas of the business.

However, you still need to build relationships with your suppliers, customers and potential customers.  This is an opportunity to do that, while not being seen to be being extravagant.

I would like to invite you and your two best clients or potential clients, to make up a fourball with myself at Collingtree Park Golf Club in Northampton.

The day could consist of breakfast, and a clinic in the morning,
focusing mainly on the short game and putting but also covering the basics of the golf swing using the Explanar Golf Training System.. Then lunch, followed by 18 holes of golf, including tips on strategy, course management and the mental side of the game, finishing with a leisurely drink or dinner in the fantastic Greens restaurant over looking the 18th green to review the day's events.

The benefits of this sort of day are considerable.

1. It's different from the 'traditional' golf day, and much easier to organise in terms of tee times and getting the right people there.

2. It gives you a whole day to really talk your guests and to build the business relationship.  It is amazing how the key prospect you have been trying to meet for ages hasn't got time for a half hour meeting in his office, but can find half a day for a game of golf at a great course with a Euro Pro Tour Professional.

3. It will help your guest significantly improve their golf game.  Improvements they will remember every time they play golf for a long time afterwards.  Which will keep reminding them of the day they spent with you at Collingtree Park.

4. It offers real value for money. You are focusing on the people who you really want to spend time with, and you are getting their undivided attention for 5 hours.

5. You aren't offending people, by having a big golf day and people hearing about it later and wondering why they weren't invited.  And for the price of a big golf day you could have 4 or 5 of these days thoughout the year for different people within your key networks or groups.

6. It's low profile.  At a time where it is hard to justify spending on corporate entertaining, many guests cannot or do not wish to be seen at a big golf day.  However, business still needs to be done, and a quiet round of golf at a great venue is less likely to cause issues and can actually be more productive.

This day could be aimed at key customers, clients, suppliers, prospective or current, or as a reward for key employees.  People who would enjoy and value a great and memorable day out, and would like to improve their golf at the same time.

Most importantly it helps you build the business relationships that matter most to you and your company.

The day can be tailored to your individual requirements.  For Prices and more information please call 07976 401 545 or get in touch via the Contact Page.
